Welcome to
The Cardiovascular Simulations Laboratory.
The people in
the CSL study the relationships between the dynamics of arterial blood
flow and vessel pathology, the mechanisms of tissue response to
mechanical stress, and the dynamic geometry of coronary arteries. We
use a variety of techniques and disciplines, including mathematical
modeling, solid modeling and computational fluid dynamics, clinical
cineangiography and intravascular ultrasound, animal experimentation,
tissue and image processing, and molecular biology. Our work is
supported primarily by grants from the National Institutes of Health
and several Fellowships. We work with other laboratories around the
university and colleagues at other institutions as well.

Both faculty and students work in or with the CSL.
